Our client is a multinational insurance corporation recognized worldwide and they are now seeking experienced individuals to join their underwriting team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Supervise a team of underwriters in underwriting both medical & non-medical cases according to the Company's guidelines

Assist to monitor the underwriting quality and quantity performance standards

Assist to review and update the underwriting guidelines and procedures from time to time so as to ensure they are competitive and of quality s-standard

Liaise and negotiate with re-insurers on facultative cases

Establish and develop training plans and materials for underwriters

Handle appeal cases from agents

Participate in the product development cycle in giving comments and advice from the underwriting perspective

Assist to lead on different projects as required

REQUIREMENTS:

University graduate with strong analytical skills and medical knowledge, with at least 5-years underwriting experience of which 1 year or more at supervisory level

Possess at least 3 years of moderate substandard underwriting authority

With experience in handling jumbo cases would be an advantage

Possess Insurance Professional Qualification

Handle inquires in a responsive manner and capable to meet tight deadlines

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Proficient in both written and spoken English and Chinese
