RESPONSIBILITIES
Establish, organize, direct, and control the Internal Audit department and the work of all internal audit staff
Develop and execute the annual audit plan and perform duties necessary to achieve the internal audit objectives and scope
Communicate information to and from Audit Committee and MD & CEO regarding the audit function
Evaluate each department of the organization periodically to determine if they are performing in compliance with management’s policies, procedures, goals and objectives
Evaluate the organization’s system of internal control to ensure that it is functioning as planned and that it is updated as necessary to meet changes in operating conditions
Direct and evaluate the risk management framework of the company
Review existing as well as new products, services and procedures to ensure adequacy of internal controls. Suggests policy and procedure changes or review as appropriate
Report the results of all audits to MD & CEO and Audit Committee. Review and record actions and plan taken by management to correct conditions reported by audit findings. Determine that actions taken are appropriate for the circumstances or initiates further discussions with appropriate management and staff
REQUIREMENTS
Sound knowledge of corporate banking business
Experience in risk-based auditing
Familiar with leading edge risk assessment methodologies
Well versed in Chinese and English with good presentation skills
Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Degree holder in Accounting or equivalent, preferably with MBA
Minimum 10 years’ relevant experience in banking industry
CPA and / or CIA and / or CISA and / or CFA
Strong interpersonal skills
