Our client is a foreign MNC in the financial services industry. Seeking a HR Manager - Greater China, the role reports to the MD and Head of Global HR.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide internal guidance on a broad range of HR issues and manage the entire employee life cycle: recruitment, performance management, compensation and benefits, employee relations, local employee communications, training & career development and payroll

Support stakeholders in your assigned region and improve employee, department, and business performance

Work as part of a global People team, according to the priorities set by regional management

Contribute to the development of the overall HR function by sharing best practices, ensuring knowledge transfer, and contributing regional HR projects

Partner with your regional People team members, including recruiters, training and development specialists, HR business partners, and an established shared services team who will help you carry out strategies 

This is both a strategic (30%) and operational role (70%)

Report to your regional People team manager

Lead the less senior team members in HR

 

REQUIREMENTS

Degree or equivalent in HR, with a min 8 years of progressive HR experience, preferably within a fast paced environment

General knowledge on Hong Kong employment laws/practices, compensation and benefits principles

Able to interact effectively with senior leadership team (C-levels and managing director)

Demonstrated ability to manage/implement HR initiatives at local and regional level (especially China)

Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills

Assertive and highly proactive

Strong oral and written communication, in both English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin) to communicate with internal stakeholders
