Job descriptions:
The Technical Writer performs multichannel technical writing, substantive editing, copyediting, and proofreading/quality control of product and technical marketing communication. The Technical Writer also helps ensure the scientific and technical accuracy of content.
Detailed job functions:
• Develop, revise, and proofread scientific and technical content that meets the needs of the target audience, is accurate, clear, and concise, and follows relevant best practices and brand guidelines.
• Help ensure the scientific and technical accuracy of technical and market communications.
• Ensure proper usage of brand, tone, and style, as well as organization, grammar, organize content, and, if appropriate, plan page layouts.
• Apply best practices in scientific/technical/marketing writing to suggest and organize content, and if appropriate, plan page layouts.
• Actively pursue professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in IT networking/technical/marketing communications.
• Work under minimal supervision with project teams or other internal customers to complete work.
• May be required to perform other related duties as required and/or assigned.
Education:
• Requires a Bachelor’s degree in English/Business/Marketing with IT backgrounds.
Experience/Requirements:
• General requires three to five years of technical writing experience, preferring in IT/Networking industries.
• Proficient to thorough understanding of networking product and technical content.
